Polycystic Disease, PCD, one of the common health problems with the ovaries, most people do not know that the body can reabsorb the vast majority of ovarian cysts.

Ovaries

SYSTEM: Reproductive - Glandular (endocrine)

CATEGORY: Gland

NUMBER: Two

SHAPE: Almond shape

SIZE: 1 inch diameter

LOCATION: In pelvic cavity, on each side of uterus (see page Ovary-title page and page Ovary-5)

FUNCTION: Produces and releases eggs and various hormones mainly estrogen and progesterone.

KINESIOLOGY:  Place 2 fingers 3 1/2 inches below the navel and 2 1/2 inches left or right of middle of the body seam. (See page Ovary-9)

IRIDOLOGY: In both eyes. In the right eye 7:00 to 7:10 and in the left eye at 4:50 to 5:00 may or may not be touching the autonomic nerve wreath.   A small closed lesion in zones 5 or 6 could indicate cyst on ovary.  Not all cyst show. (see page Ovary-10)

HYPOACTIVE (UNDERACTIVE)

Follicle (hair like protrusion which releases egg) - Cyst may develop. Lack of estrogen production which symptoms may include: sore breast especially around menses, infertility, suppressed menses.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:

Estrogen - Secondary sex characteristics and promotes ovulation, helps the body break up old tissue.

Progesterone - Prepares body during pregnancy but during pregnancy comes from placenta

Progesterone and estrogen balance is needed for a normal menstrual cycle.  Progesterone stops the menstruation and prepares the uterus for pregnancy.  Estrogen starts menstruation and helps (along with oxytocin from pituitary) in labor.

Vitamin A helps lubricate fallopian tubes which might help prevent tubal pregnancy.

Ovulation (expulsion of a matured egg) occurs 13 to 15 days before the following menstruation.

After an egg has broken free from the ovary the follicle is suppose to undergo shrinkage and disappear, sometimes it doesn't; the follicle sight then becomes a cyst.
