List of Health Conditions from A to Z

Acne, Zits, Adult Acne are often signs of toxicity or hormone imbalance. This article gives insight on what it needed to reverse most acne.

I believe in every one of my school pictures from 8th grade to 12th I had an acne outbreak, and almost without fail I would have a large pimple prominently placed on the tip of my nose, making me look like the wicked witch of the east.

There are no sure ways of never getting another pimple, but with acne medicine having serious side effects and the fact that it merely is masking a health condition, I would encourage you to try some of the following tips instead of medication.

#1 Keep your bowel squeaky clean.  If toxins are not excreted through the proper channels, it may very likely come out through the skin.  I suggest a diet based on raw vegetables and fruits and popcorn (no butter).  Herbs such as LBS II, Cascara Sagrada, *  and Psyllium may keep the bowels moving and clean.

#2 Keep pores unclogged possibly using a loofah or abrasive face cream(sometimes can irritate oil glands, back off if acne worsens).  I use a plastic pot scrubber.  Keep hair spray and make up off the face.

#3 Watch diet.  Limit or restrict intake of deep fried foods, all milk products, chocolate, caramel colored sodas, caffeine and fatty foods.

#4 Use herbal based makeup (if you must).  Clean off makeup at night.

#5 Hormonal imbalances can cause acne problems.  To help regulate hormones for males use Sarsaparilla and for females Female Comfort FC with Dong quai.

#6 Aloe Vera juice or gel topically. Vitamin E, A and D, Zinc and Horsetail internally helps prevent acne scarring.

#7 Purify or Cleanse the blood.  Used historically:  Burdock, and the herbal combinations: BP-X, Chinese Blood Build (formally BP-C) and E-Tea (Essiac Tea instant {freeze dried}) and Enviro-Detox.  Also Chickweed for breaking up and flushing out fats. My favorite however is Red Clover Blend.

#8 Drink plenty of water to help in hydration and to help the kidney filter out the blood.

#9 Niacin increases circulation to the surface of the skin.

#10 There is a homeopathic remedy called ACNE.

#11 Have plenty of sex (just kidding; there has been no documented research to validate this common idea, although trying to get a grant for the research would be interesting :) ).

The Mishio Kushi Theory contends that a weakness or toxicity in a certain organ or gland can cause acne on certain areas of the body.

All natural practitioners know that topical treatments are either short term remedies or more often contribute to the acne problem.

This may explain why some people who, while working with acne, get results from chickweed while others get similar results with BP-X or when they balance the hormones.

Adding validity to this theory is the fact that, a lot of women break out with pimples on their chins just before menstruation; which would indicate a dysfunction in their female reproductive organs.

Acne is often thought of as a normal part of adolescence. This is not true, acne is merely a symptom that is accentuate by the rapid growth and change within an adolescent's body.

Toxins often cleanse through the skin, when the other eliminating systems are sluggish; hormonal imbalances   over stimulate the oil glands and impurities in the blood will often affect the skin.  All of these can clog pores.  Acne is the body's reaction to those clogged pores.

The Mishio Kushi theory, though not a science, can be helpful when trying to pinpoint a reason why one has acne .  Thereby, enabling one to treat the cause instead of the symptom.
